In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an special katana in addition to several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
